Bret Michaels is bringing his Fall Holiday Parti-Gras show to the NYCB theatre at Westbury on December 13th, 2023. We recently caught up with Bret by phone to talk about the show. Bret jumped right into our call with a ton of energy and excitement. He mentioned that this will be his first time back on the Island since playing Citi Field with Poison on the Stadium Tour. If you saw Bret with Poison at that show, you know they put on an amazing show. Bret shared how he was going to take all that crazy energy and bring it to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury.

He even spoke about new solo Bret Michaels music that will be part of the show. We discussed the video for his single “Back In The Day” being over 4 million views. Bret spoke about all the history in the video. We even talked about how the video was a lot like his book “Auto-Scrap-Ography” and had such a feel good, upbeat feeling. That brought us into some conversation around the documentary for A&E, “The Origins of Bret Michaels,” which also drew inspiration from the book.

Bret spoke about being grateful for all this. That is when he spoke about promising to all his fans that every time you see him play from a stadium to a theater that he is 1000% into the moment. Bret and I were doing quite a bit of joking around. But I did share that I’ve seen him from nosebleed seats in a stadium to being next to him on stage and he does indeed always give his all.

We also took some time to talk about Bret’s songs “Get Your Game On” which is being used on “Good Morning Football” and “Unbroken” which he co-wrote with his daughter Jorja. We discussed how the song was a good companion through the pandemic. In speaking of that Bret mentioned the song having a warrior spirit.

That brought us into speaking of all the members of Bret’s family who have served in different branches of the military. We discussed Bret paying tribute to Veterans and First Responders at every one of his shows. Bret even says that all the Vets and First Responders are the true rock stars.
