The program lets students help other children through a community service project and raise funds to move us closer to finding a cure for blood cancers. The Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence offers a comprehensive program of shelter and non-residential supportive services for victims of dating and domestic violence. Emergency shelter is available for women and children who are living in dangerous situations due to domestic violence. Supportive programs are offered which include legal services, advocacy, counseling, vocational training and children's services. Domestic violence affects all people in all areas of society. Long Island soccer players and coaches are being asked to participate in Soccer Kicks for Cancer, a new youth soccer program from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and US Youth Soccer and the National Soccer Team Players Association. The program is designed to help young people improve their soccer skills and learn the value of community service by raising funds for cancer research.
