WBAB and Nikon are looking for the best Long Island photos!

This summer, while you and your family travel around Long Island, make sure you have your camera close at hand.

If you see something that screams LONG ISLAND, take a photo of it and send it to WBAB.

Whether it's a classic Lighthouse at Sunset, a family reunion at Robert Moses State Park or a "car-b-que" on the LIE, we want to see your best stuff that represents Long Island.

Email one photo at a time, along with a location and short description, plus your name, address, phone number and date of birth to BabContest@coxradio.com

You can submit one photo per day. Please keep photos under 1 megabyte.

On Monday, August 4th, WBAB will turn the power over to the people. WBAB will pick a handful of the best photos and give Long Islanders the opportunity to choose their favorite and pick the winner.

When the judging is complete, we'll award both the winning photographer and a random judge each with a Nikon D60 Digital SLR Camera outfit. Nikon: At the Heart of the Image.

WBAB reserves the right to post any and all photos and your name on WBAB.com. We will do our best to provide proper photo credit, but it's not guaranteed. Photos will not be submitted to any other website or media outlets without the consent of the photographer. WBAB is not responsible for photos copied from WBAB.com and used elsewhere without our knowledge. We will not include your email, phone number or any personal information on WBAB.com. Your information will not be shared. Contestants who submit more than one photo per day may be disqualified. No purchase is necessary to enter. One photo per envelope. Mailed entries must be received by July 31, 2008. All photos must include location and short description of photo, your name, address, phone number and date of birth. Entries without proper information will be disqualified. No photos will be returned. WBAB is not responsible for entries not received due to computer malfunctions, postal issues or any other problem that results in the entry not getting to us. 6 qualifiers will be selected from all eligible entries on or around Monday, August 4th. Qualifying photos will be posted on WBAB.com and listeners will have the opportunty to judge. Photo with the most "votes" will be selected on Monday, August 18th. One "judge" will be selected at randim for a second Grand Prize camera. Grand Prize winners will be contacted by phone and need not be listening to win. Each winner will receive a Nikon D60 Digital SLR Camera (value: $649.00). Two prizes total. The decision of the WBAB judges and the voting contest is final. Winners will be required to sign a release form and fill out a 1099 form prior to claiming their prize. Payment of federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS form 1099 or the equivalent. Contestants are only permitted to win a prize valued at over $600 once every three months.
