Listen to Jesse Kinch: Cutter (Sinning the Skin) | This Boy

Jesse Kinch is a prodigy…

What makes a prodigy? Is it something you’re born with? Can you try to create a prodigy? What are the true classifications that make someone a prodigy?

16 years old but you would never know it when you watch this Long Island, New York City rocker command the stage. Jesse's influences include: Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Vernon Reid and many more. Jesse Kinch is part of a new generation of young talent who want to bring rock n' roll back to its glory days!

Jesse is a rare combination of natural ability combined with a passion, spirit and energy that is evident in his original music and his live performances. Jesse picked up a guitar at age 6 and was able to tune it by ear. He demonstrated exceptional rhythm and perfect pitch. By age 7, he was able to duplicate drum solos and performances of great rock bands. Music consultants and teachers told his parents Jesse had a special gift.

Jesse's passion turned towards rock n' roll; his influences became evident in his style. He performed at a New York rock club at age 7 with an all adult band backing. At age 8, Jesse was featured on TV- News Channel 12, Long Island, and was hailed a music sensation.  At 10, Jesse was invited to the Sam Ash Guitar Competition where he finished third competing with performers 2 to 3 times his age.

Jesse is currently a high school sophomore but he's been busy performing and captivating audiences for years. He is now busy writing his own original material. Jesse's debut singles, "Timeless Rider" and "Cutter" deal with provocative subject matters. Jesse explains, "The Timeless Rider in his song is a Spirit Force that represents peace and love and somehow keeps our world from succumbing to evil." The song, "Cutter (Sinning The Skin)" centers on three of Jesse's classmates who cut themselves in response to intense personal and emotional problems. "Trying to help them became an exhausting and eye opening experience," says Jesse.

Most recently, Jesse starred in Rock Icon Eddie Money's musical autobiography- Two Tickets to Paradise- The Musical. Jesse amazingly portrayed Young Eddie and literally banged heads with the rock icon belting out many of Money's hits. He awed audiences for eight consecutive nights singing 14 songs with a raw energy and dynamic quality that left audiences star-struck. New York Newsday theatre critic, Steve Parks said, "Young Eddie, remarkably played by 15 year old Jesse Kinch, could be a future rock star, often sounding like the real Eddie at his peak." Eddie says, "Jesse is just like me when I was young ... the kid is gonna be a star!"

Without question...Jesse Kinch will impact the future of rock and roll!
