Alison was nominated by Joyce Recupero, a patients wife, who said “My husband was a lucky candidate after being in the ED for 20 hours and was able to be sent home for home hospital from NYU in Garden City. Alison has been to our home 3 times between over 2 days. She was thorough and explained everything so well, Taking exceptional care of Tom and making sure that Tom and I both understood everything. She was kind, friendly and professional. She made sure to tell us the nurses name that would call him in the evening, and even told us that she was the nurse on call through the night in case he needs anything at all. Tom had a very tough 12 days and she was extremely helpful and calming. We think she deserves to be acknowledged and honored. Thank you so much WBAB for honoring our First Responders.”
