Ann Schumacher | Honoree for May 31st, 2024

Ann Schumacher was nominated by her partner, Nancy Daneau, who said “Ann Schumacher, EMS Company 6 of Smithtown Fire Department ALWAYS shows up;. Ann is tireless. She is responsive, reliable, compassionate and her contributions add tremendous value. She represents the best of the best First Responders for Smithtown Fire Department and has served the Smithtown community for decades. The level of care she extends to patients is unmatched and she leads other EMT’s by example. As Company 6 Captain and in other roles, she continues to mentor every person with whom she rides. Her commitment to the community she serves and the team she works with is unwavering and she deserves special recognition for her commitment and the service and support she provides. She is exemplar and I am proud to serve our community alongside her.”
