Ian was nominated by his friend, Lucas Sidor, who said, “Ian lives to serve the public. He volunteers his time to not only his hometown as an esteemed member of the East Quogue Fire Department, but also to the wonderful community of Flanders as a member of the Flanders Northampton Volunteer Ambulance. When he’s not volunteering, Ian works at the Suffolk County Fire Academy working closely with other volunteers to train them to better serve their own communities. He is a rare breed these days!”
