Mark Mazur | Honoree for September 11th, 2020

Mark was nominated by his daughter, Kristina, who said, “This amazing man had served 34 years with FDNY EMS, 911 survivor, a volunteer fireman for North Babylon for 40+ years, and continues to serve our community even in retirement. Proud to call him my dad and hero”. Mark was also nominated by his son-in-law, Keith, who said, “FDNY EMT for thirty years 9-11 first responder volunteer NBFD for 40+ years and even after retirement has been a pillar in the North Babylon community. Bus driver for the schools, delivering meals to people in need in this trying time. Working overnight rescue to make sure the community is in good hands. All around amazing guy and an inspiration to look up to”, as well as his best friend, Sue, who said, “He has been through a lot. He watched a lot of his friends go. Still tries to help everyone to the best he can”.
