Pete Townshend made it clear he wasn’t a fan of sports stadiums for rock shows and certainly not a fan of Shea Stadium. But that didn’t stop him, Roger, John and Kenney from packing the ballpark for two nights back in October 1982 (a large payday helped as well, I’m sure).
Night two of their Shea Stadium pseudo-farewell stop is coming out on CD and album in March. How many more anachronisms can you fit in there?!
