Robert was nominated by his wife, Tracie, who said, “My husband Robert of many years was a dedicated New York City Correction Officer and was involved in many incidents over the years he reported to Rikers Island. Sadly the last alarm he responded to in a high classification housing area was to be his last day of work forever. The alarm went bad with multiple individuals refusing to comply. Sadly my husband suffered severe neck injuries and is no longer capable of working. Aside from being a great worker for NYC DOC, he’s an awesome father of our 3 sons and a kind loving husband.
