This week’s First Responder Friday Honoree is Stacey Dolan of Nassau Police Department.” Stacey Dolan joined the Nassau County Police Department in November of 2007. Upon graduation she was assigned to the 3rd Precinct. After becoming a new mom she moved to the 7th Precinct in 2014 to be closer to home. In 2020 Officer Dolan decided to take her career to a different level and was assigned to train the incoming recruits of the Nassau County Police Department at the Police Academy where she is currently working today. Officer Dolan is also a Nassau County vocalist and being married to a Veteran and a fellow Police Officer, she found a way to impact the lives of veterans through music. Officer Dolan joined a Non for Profit called “The Band of Veterans and Friends”. This band gives music lessons to Veterans as well as free guitars. This organization allows the Veterans to join them and play free concerts for other veterans and families. Stacey says its a rewarding experience but more importantly it brings joy to these soldiers who have suffered fighting for this great Nation. Stacey doesn’t stop there; she is also on the board of the St Padre Pio Miracle Foundation. This group helps children with cancer and other illnesses. Through all of this Officer Dolan still manages to be a Police officer and a mother to two young boys. For all of her hard work as a Police Officer and all of her actions in her charitable groups we are proud to recognize Officer Stacey Dolan as the WBAB first responder.”
