Vincenzo was nominated by his friend, Janice Wernimont, who said, “At only 19 years old he already has a strong sense of community and servitude which he has had since his early teens when he joined the youth program at the Massapequa Fire Department. Now as a full-fledged fire fighter, when other people his age are hanging out with friends and partying, he’s risking his life for the benefit & safety of his neighbors.”
