Joe Rock’s Pet Project

Joe Rock and WBAB have teamed up with Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue & Adoption to help find your Pawfect Pet!

Each Wednesday, Joe will choose a Pet of the Week and will highlight that pet! A new pet will be chosen and featured each week!

This sweet baby is from one of our local town shelters. Sadly her owner died and she is so confused and wondering why her world is upside down. It is heartbreaking when that happens and no family members can take them. She is mother to daughters Teddy and Tina. We would love to see them all stay together but that is nothing short of a holiday miracle. Stella, the mom is 11 years old. She is a short haired tan girl. Her daughters are Teddy and Tina. Teddy is a long haired Doxie and Tina is a short haired black and tan girl with a little snaggle tooth! These kids were not spayed upon arrival. They will be undergoing surgery this week for that, some lump removals and dentals. We put our all into every single animal we take in. Do you have room in your heart and home for these sweet, social girls? To adopt, come on down or apply in advance at saveapetusa.org/adoption-form/

Save-A-Pet is a 501c3 no-kill shelter and have rescued and re-homed over 40,000 companion animals. We rely solely on donations. Save-A-Pet is located in the heart of Long Island in Port Jefferson Station. We have a low-cost vaccination and spay/neuter clinic. At Save-A-Pet’s Long Island animal shelter, we believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes. We provide spay and neuter services for Long Island feral cats and any necessary medical care for pets. We work diligently to educate the public, especially children, on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.

If you are looking to adopt a pet, please view the dogs and cats at our Long Island adoption shelter and then fill out our online adoption application at saveapetusa.org
