Garrett Meyer, 29, of Nashville, was identified by the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department, WCIA reported. Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum said no additional information would be released, as investigators were still trying to establish a timeline of events, the television station reported.

Meyer’s body was found Friday morning when drivers were trying to unload the truck at a gas transfer hub in Iroquois County, just outside of Buckley, the television station reported. The men said they had faced problems unloading gas from the tanker for several days, adding they did not know how Meyer’s body wound up inside the tanker, WCIA reported.

The Buckley, Paxton, and Urbana fire departments helped remove the body late Friday afternoon, WICS reported.

Cheatum said the body was intact but did not provide any additional information, WCIA reported. He also did not say how long Meyer’s body had been in the vehicle, the television station reported.

An autopsy was conducted at the Champaign County Coroner’s Office, the Daily Journal of Kankakee reported. The results are pending toxicology reports, the Ford County Record reported.
