A Utah fisherman broke a state record that had stood for 32 years, reeling in a 53-pound, 15-ounce lake trout.

Chance Scott caught the monster-sized fish at Flaming Gorge, according to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. His fish broke the 1988 record, set by Curt Bilbey on the same lake, of 51 pounds, 8 ounces.

Scott’s catch was 34.7 inches in girth and 44.1 inches long.

According to a tweet by Utah’s wildlife officials, Scott decided to keep the fish.

According to the International Game Fish Association, the world record for lake trout is 72 pounds, caught by Lloyd Bull on Aug. 19, 1995, at Great Bear Lake in the Northwestern Territories of Canada.
