What looked like a potential game-winning goal, turned into a shootout loss for the Islanders last night at UBS Arena.
With a little under 10 seconds left in the 3rd period, Kyle Palmieri tipped in a Alexander Romanov shot in front of the net which would’ve been the potential game-winning goal.
The ref waived it off right away, then after a review confirmed it was no goal due to what was called goalie inference.
With no goals in overtime, the game went to a shootout, where the Isles lost.
